What Seperates Chen style from any other form of Taiji is the posture correction.
each form contains linking movements that lead to "Postures" with names like "Buddhas warrior attendant pounds mortar" or "Lazily about tying robe"
At first as you begin to learn the form we go through what is referred to as "plotting the route". Then comes "fixing the form", the instructor will ask the class to stay in the posture that they are in and will then move from person to person making sure that their head, spine, sholders, elbows, hands, chest, waist, hips, knees and feet are correctly alligned to maximise the posture in order to minimise injury.

Laojia Yilu (Old Frame 1st Form) is our main form which we teach in all of our class
